![]() ![]() It was also my first time on having a go at painting ~ The next thing added to the car was a factory front lip. Wired in some tweeter component setup that I have in my garage, now everything sounds much clearer and have a wide-stage feel in such a tiny small car. With the HPF set to on, they don't rattle even with bassy song. The front factory 4" are behind the dash, and despite being very weak they actually sound pretty nice. (These cars have no rear factory speakers so they were a great addition to the overall sound) Sound quality is much nicer with the Alpine so would definitely recommend to othersĪlso got some rear parcel tray (as the car had none) for the back, in which I also put some Alpine 6.5" speakers at the back. I forgot to mention that I also had replaced the CD player that was in the car with some Alpine ones with USB capability. The service were done and then on to the mods ~ Spark plugs were fine, gave it a good clean as they look to have been replaced not too long ago.Īnd everything else were in decent condition. Until I make a mounting bracket, this had to do do.Īlso replaced the dizzy cap and the ignition coils and the car is idling and running much smoother! Held by a strap to prevent it from touching the body of the car. The filter was rubbing against the body of the car and this is what it has caused.Ĭouldn't source a factory airbox at all so a new clean fiter will have to do. This is the condition of the intake filter that was in the car urgh. Also replaced the oil filter which is annoyingly at a hard place to reach Replaced the oil to the factory recommended 10W30 and was surprised to see that the car only took 2.5L of oil!! So a pack of 5L can be used for two oil change hahaha. The car has no known service history so doing it then was a good idea. Got new vacuum lines and rewire and now its all done and working sweet Wasn't too bad as it was only minor wiring (and vacuum line) issues done by the genius owner lol. One Saturday was spent on getting the turbo timer and the boost gauge working. The first thing I needed to do was to service the car and fix everything that wasn't working. Thanks for reading and please comment and recommend on things I could and I should do! ![]() I will update this thread as I collect the pictures and try to catch up to where the car is at the moment Some HKS Blow off Valve replica that works! ((nyeheheheh its legal in here brotha)) A boost gauge (safely attached thank god) that wasn't working (sigh) Turbo timer that wasn't working, later found out that it is a Blitz Turbo Timer 16x7" +38 Offset Lenso SC01 Replica wheels I bought this car on the 6th December 2012, and this is how it looks like when I first got it at the seller's place. If wallet permits, proper coilovers setup Alpine Headunit + Alpine Speakers + Components + Bass Tube Blitz Turbo Timer and some gauge (from previous owner) With a stick shifter, this is one heck of a fun car Japanese imported 1.3L tiny car, with engine pushing around 100kw from factory. This is my EP91 chassis, 1997 Toyota Starlet Glanza V. 19yo, male, handsome, single and looking.Ĭurrently a broke university student in Auckland with tiny to no income. The name is Tim, if you've missed my intro post. It'll be a nice record to see what has been done on the car and how it has changed since I first got it. It makes me feel like I should have my own little blog of may car. Enjoying all the hilarious things of interwebs and the build thread of many awesome cars in here. I've been in the forum for quite some time now. ![]()
